Dhamrai Government Technical School and College is a well-known and universally recognized educational institution in the field of technical education in Bangladesh. The contribution of technical education to human resource development and poverty alleviation is undeniable. It is the responsibility of this institution to turn the vast population of this region into skilled human resources through technical education. To meet the challenges of the 21st century in keeping with globalization, this institution has been providing modern and relevant technical education.

The journey of Dhamrai Government Technical School and College started from the academic year 2021 with the aim of developing skilled technical citizens and improving the quality of technical education. Currently JSC (Voc), SSC (Voc) and HSC (Voc) education programs are continuing in this institution. Educational programs are conducted by skilled and experienced teachers in four different technologies. The institution was built under the construction project of 1 technical school and college in 100 upazilas.

Even a few years ago, it was thought that children from less talented and lower class families only go for technical and vocational education so that they can enter some small jobs after graduation. Not that the idea doesn't exist yet. Because most of the time those who get admission in technical and vocational institutes, many of them either don't get opportunities elsewhere or get admission in this category due to financial problems or various types of limitations.

But time is not the same. People's thoughts are also changing with time and surrounding needs. People are going towards education besides reading books so that they don't have to be unemployed with big degrees. And for that purpose, the Bangladesh government has also organized the technical educational institutions. And one of those educational institutions is Dhamrai Government Technical School and College.

In this educational institution, students can learn the subject of their choice by sitting at home through online medium (YouTube, Facebook) in addition to manual education. As a result, in addition to general education, one can take one step ahead in the current job market by getting a government certificate and training in the field of his choice.
